Products Made in America
The “Buy America” or “Made in America” initiative aims to promote domestic manufacturing and support American jobs. The FHWA’s Buy America regulation mandates that all manufactured products used in federal-aid highway projects must be produced in the United States.
This regulation is part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and is effective from March 17, 2025. The initiative encourages the use of domestically manufactured products to create good-paying jobs and support private sector investment and small business opportunities.
